Hi

I've been trying to get my modem working for several weeks now and I'm not getting very
far. It's an Ambient Technologies, I've got the Linux driver and tried to install it;
as far as I know the software is installed but whenever I run YaST2 it tells me that
there is no modem detected.
ls -l shows that the HaM driver is installed and /dev/modem has a symbolic link to /dev/ttyS0
I hope this helps, if you need any more info I'll be glad to supply it

I'm a complete Linux newbie so please be as specific as possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
